On moving into new multi-tenanted premises in the City of London, our client required initial security procedures to be carried out. These included but were not restricted to:

• Full security assessment of the building infrastructure and all factors which may affect our client as a tenant.
• Compile a building security policy on the basis of this assessment.
• Design the tender documents for the provision of guarding and reception services and act on behalf of our client on the selection committee.
• Select and pre-qualify suitable companies from within the security industry to tender.
• Supervise the commencement of the security operation.
• Carry out full electronic counter measure sweep of the premises.

Venezuela

Our South American security specialist has travelled and worked extensively throughout South America over the last ten years. Most recently, for a major oil international oil company, he undertook a 6-month project in Maracaibo to complete the following assignment:

• Design, formulation and implementation of the Country Security Plan
• The Production of comprehensive security instructions
• The formulation and structuring of the crisis management system
• Sourcing and selection of equipment and service providers.
• The selection, vetting and control of contract security staff
• The sourcing, selection and training of a National Security Manager.

Pakistan

A similar role was performed for an Oil Company operating in Pakistan, who, due to a particularly volatile period in Pakistani politics, realised the need to offer an interface between the local in-country security manager and the expatriate workforce. MacIvor Grant provided an experienced security manager who offered effective and culturally sympathetic liaison between the expatriate and local workforce, enabling the company to continue to function efficiently and safely during an unsettling period.
